Tulipmania! Painting Botanicals in Norfolk, UK

Botanical art holiday in cozy boutique hotel North Norfolk, UK. Learn from Elaine Searle.

11-16 April 2021

The White House is a recently renovated Georgian country house set in an idyllic and peaceful location in the heart of a working farm a couple of miles from Brancaster.

The Tulip was actually originally a wild flower growing in Central Asia. This popular flower has many beauticul cultivars ranging from those resembling the original form to those that mimic peonies, have fringed edges, and voluptuous parrot tulips.

Together we shall explore painting tulips in watercolour. The emphasis will be on looking closely, drawing carefully and capturing with accuracy in watercolours the character of the plant. Specimens will be provided and you will be guided to tackle something appropriate to your level of experience.

Some experience of painting with watercolours would be desirable.Tuition will be a mixture of discussion, demonstration and individual guidance.
